Manufacturers use agentic AI in Infor CloudSuite Industrial for a variety of use cases, including financial operations (AP and AR), production and job-order monitoring, procurement and warehouse operations, and customer experience.

Process mining in Infor CloudSuite Industrial is an AI-driven diagnostic tool that analyzes how users actually work inside core processes like procure-to-pay and order-to-cash, then flags non-conforming variants (where people skipped, repeated, or took extra steps). With one click, it produces a full analysis along with AI-recommended fixes and the expected results of making those changes, giving manufacturers a data-driven starting point before layering on further automation.

The Value+ catalog is a library of pre-built automations that are all included in Velocity Suite. This catalog covers areas like invoice processing, customer order creation, pricing validation, vendor compliance checks, vendor performance insights, SPC trend analysis, Bill of Lading digitalization, and make vs. buy analysis.

The GenAI Assistant is a conversational AI chatbot embedded in Infor CloudSuite Industrial that answers natural-language questions using a company’s own ERP data rather than general web information.

For example, a user can ask for every invoice above a specific dollar threshold from a named vendor in a given month, and the assistant retrieves the answer from the document management system in seconds or a couple of minutes instead of the 60–90 minutes manual lookup can take.

Embedded AI experiences are one-click, AI-powered buttons built into the ERP interface for repetitive writing and reporting tasks, such as generating a dunning letter, an item promotion letter, or a full account summary for a vendor or customer. Embedded AI experiences can help cut tasks that would normally take 30–90 minutes down to 10–15 minutes.

The Agent Factory is the same toolset Infor’s own team uses to build its pre-built agents, made available to Velocity Suite customers so they can build custom agents for use cases the standard catalog doesn’t cover. It’s largely drag-and-drop with AI-assisted prompting, so users comfortable with Infor’s APIs can build agents without needing to be a full-stack developer or machine learning engineer.

Infor’s AI and automation in Velocity Suite is embedded directly in the ERP rather than a third-party add-on, and it only uses data the customer’s own ERP already has access to. On the technical side, Velocity Suite is built on AWS Bedrock and partnered large language model providers, with agreements in place that customer data does not leave the Infor ecosystem, is not used to train any models, and is not published to the internet. Infor does not build or train its own AI models.

Yes. A user’s Velocity Suite security credentials mirror their existing CSI/SyteLine credentials, so the GenAI chatbot and AI agents can only surface data that user would already be able to access manually. They can’t be used to sneak around and find sensitive information or bypass existing security-group restrictions.

Yes, this is part of the implementation process. Many customers have some form of customized or modified process, and accommodating those customizations is a standard part of the process mining implementation. Similarly, connecting the GenAI chatbot to a customer’s cloud suite involves Ion integration work, but as long as the relevant data exists in some form, it can be made accessible even with a customized workflow.
