From Manual Reporting to Real-Time Visibility in the Cloud
Haysite Reinforced Plastics is a U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in thermoset composite materials for high-temperature insulation, corrosion resistance, and lightweight structural applications. From its 100,000-square-foot facility in Erie, PA, the company produces an extensive line of laminated sheets, custom-molded parts, pultruded shapes, and molding compounds. Haysite serves customers across 30 countries in the power, transportation, and industrial sectors and has been a member of the Isovolta Group since 2018.
In 2025, Haysite was running Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) ERP version 10 on-premise. Seeking to improve operational efficiency, eliminate on-premise servers, and increase warehouse and shop floor visibility, Haysite partnered with Decision Resources to move to the cloud.
Legacy System Limitations
After decades of using Infor SyteLine on-premise, Haysite Reinforced Plastics was seeking new ways to improve production efficiency. On the shop floor, operators were using paper tickets that had to be manually entered into the system. Paper-based production tracking causes inefficiencies for companies across the board, often leading to delayed visibility, reduced efficiency, and higher inaccuracies from rekeying information. Haysite initially planned to address this gap by implementing Infor Factory Track in their on-prem environment. After analyzing the added infrastructure requirements and long-term business needs, it became clear that a cloud deployment would be a more cost-effective and scalable solution.
A cloud environment would reduce IT workloads and help leaders redirect resources towards higher-value initiatives. Server maintenance placed a significant demand on IT resources and required cross-regional coordination with its Austria-based parent company to schedule maintenance. More than an infrastructure decision, the move to the cloud reflected a broader shift towards modernizing operations and improving efficiency.
In June 2025, Haysite kicked off its Infor CloudSuite Industrial implementation with the following project goals:
- Reduce IT costs by moving off on-prem servers.
- Enable timely access to new features and updates.
- Replace manual reporting methods and eliminate paper-based processes on the shop floor.
- Strengthen inventory management by automating warehouse transactions.
From Kickoff to Go-Live: Critical Success Factors
In January 2026, Haysite achieved a successful go-live. Collaborative training, thorough system testing, and strong cross-functional coordination contributed to a smooth cutover. Haysite supported this outcome by prioritizing clear goal alignment and dedicating sufficient resources to the project. Decision Resources’ responsiveness, Factory Track expertise, and comprehensive piloting scripts further strengthened project execution.
“From the start of the project DRI took a collaborative approach and worked closely with us to build a customized solution for our production reporting. The weekly check ins and pilot scenarios ensured we stayed aligned to make the go live successful.”
-Stephen Michler, Controller at Haysite Reinforced Plastics
Business Impact
With Infor CloudSuite Industrial, Haysite achieved its project objectives by enabling real-time data visibility, automating shop floor and warehouse processes, and reducing IT overhead.
Scalability & IT Savings
By moving to the cloud, Haysite no longer needs to invest in costly infrastructure to expand their system’s capabilities down the road. Removing server maintenance responsibilities has also reduced IT overhead and freed up capacity for other projects.
Faster Deployment of New Features
Monthly updates mean teams are kept on a current version of Infor CloudSuite Industrial without needing to spend significant time and effort managing patches and feature updates.
Continuously Updated Reports
Haysite leverages Power BI for reporting and analytics. DecisionExcelerator, developed by Decision Resources, enables teams to quickly push and pull data from their ERP to Power BI. With data refreshed multiple times a day, teams can leverage current data to make informed decisions.
Increased Shop Floor and Warehouse Efficiency with Factory Track
Instead of relying on paper tickets, operators use touchscreen kiosks to manage transactions and access key documents. Digitizing the shop floor reduced material and labor waste from unnecessary paperwork, manual data entry, and time spent retrieving information. Transactions such as employee time tracking, material issuing, and finished goods reporting are now automated, improving overall productivity.
Haysite will also continue to drive efficiency by standardizing the use of barcoding to manage inventory movements, an improvement that will increase overall warehouse visibility and reduce inventory errors.
The Future of Haysite Reinforced Plastics
By moving to the cloud, Haysite Reinforced Plastics has transitioned away from manual, paper-based processes. With Infor CloudSuite Industrial, the company now operates with greater automation, better visibility into operations, and more data-driven decision-making to support future growth and efficiency.
